RUMFORD — A benefit for Holly Arsenault, a Chinese auction and spaghetti dinner, will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Eagles Hall.

Arsenault has been diagnosed with bone cancer. A wife, mother and grandmother, she is bed-ridden and in hospice care. Arsenault has no insurance and can use help. Donations for the auction can be dropped off or picked up upon calling one of the numbers listed below.

The auction will start around 3 p.m., with the drawing around 6:30 p.m. Organizers would prefer to have winners present at the time of the drawing.

The spaghetti dinner will start at 5 p.m. and be served until 6:45 to 7 p.m.

WAYNE — First Saturday at the Williams House with a book sale, boutique and breakfast, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 6, at 14 Old Winthrop Road. 

All Christmas-themed stories, movies, music and decorations will be half price.

All proceeds benefit the Wayne Library Association.
