LEWISTON — Steven Dostie, executive director, has announced winners of the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society’s “Cold Paws, Warm Heart” annual raffle.
With more than $9,500 in tickets sales, the winners were Garet Bottger of Topsham, $600 in home heating assistance; Gail Burgess of Auburn, $300 in home heating assistance; Mary Parker of Leeds, $200 in home heating assistance; and Mary Ellen Taylor of Auburn, $100 in home heating assistance.
All proceeds from the raffle directly benefit the humane society.
The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society provides a safe haven for more than 4,500 sick, homeless and abused animals in the greater Androscoggin area each year. The primary support for the shelter comes from fundraising events and donations of concerned citizens.
