AUBURN — Avery Lutrzykowski’s third goal of the game was a memorable one, the 100th goal of her high school career, in St. Dom’s 9-0 victory over the Yarmouth Clippers in a girls’ hockey contest Saturday.

Lutrzykowski recorded a natural hat trick as she scored the Saints’ fifth, sixth and seventh goals of the first period.

Emma Theriault had a goal and two assists for St. Dom’s (13-2). Addie Suckow and Callie Samson each had a goal and an assist. Madison Samson, Taryn Cloutier and Hannah Kenney also scored.

The Clippers are now 3-12-1 on the season.

Oak Hill 55, Telstar 30

BETHEL — Junior forward Abby Nadeau recorded a game-high 15 points as Oak Hill sailed to a 55-30 victory over Telstar in girls’ basketball action Saturday afternoon. 

The Raiders took a 27-16 lead at halftime and expanded the advantage from there. Sophomore point guard Desirae Dumais contributed 14 points for Oak Hill.

Luci Rothwell and Calla Orino posted seven points each for the Rebels.

Gray-New Gloucester 65, Waynflete 22

GRAY — Jordan Grant had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 65-22 victory over Waynflete in girls’ basketball action Saturday afternoon.

The Patriots led 34-8 at the midpoint. Bri Jordan added 11 points, while Alexa Thayer had seven steals.

Lydia Giguere paced the Flyers with seven points.

Monmouth 51, Carrabec 29

NORTH ANSON — Kaeti Butterfield put up a game-high 16 points to lead Monmouth to a 51-29 victory over Carrabec in girls’ basketball action Saturday evening.

The Mustangs (14-1) bolted to a 30-9 lead at the break. Abby Ferland chipped in with nine points for Monmouth.

Olivier Fortier led the Cobras (6-9) with seven points, while Melanie Clark posted six points in the losing effort.

Vinalhaven 52, Buckfield 18

BUCKFIELD — Senior forward Gilleyanne Davis-Oakes manufactured 13 points to lead Vinalhaven to a 52-18 rout over Buckfield in girls’ basketball action Saturday evening.

The Vikings (16-0) raced out to a 19-1 first period lead and cruised the rest of the way. Senior guard Ashlyn Littlefield contributed 12 points for Vinalhaven.

Sophomore guard Katy Henderson posted a team-high 11 points for the Bucks (1-12).

Oxford Hills 57, Leavitt 26

PARIS — Julia Colby registered a punishing 20 points as Oxford Hills catapulted to a 57-26 triumph over Leavitt in girls’ basketball action Saturday evening.

The Vikings blanked the Hornets 20-0 in the first quarter.

Sophie Gilbert had a team-leading 15 points for Leavitt in the losing effort.

Edward Little 52, Thornton 24

SACO — Edward Little used a swarming full-court defense to rout Thornton 52-24 in a girls’ basketball contest Saturday.

The Red Eddies (9-5) turned turnovers into easy baskets to seize control from the start.

Three EL players reached double figures: Hannah Chaput scored 13 points, Piper Norcross had 12 and Grace Fontaine finished with 11.

Alex Hart led the Golden Trojans (5-8) with nine points, and Elise Herbert added eight.

Spruce Mountain 47, Mountain Valley 34

RUMFORD — Hailee Perkins scored eight of her team-high 14 points in the fourth quarter as Spruce Mountain defeated Mountain Valley in a Class B MVC girls’ basketball contest Saturday.

Hailey Turcotte had 11 points for the Phoenix (8-7), while Morgan Dalton had 10 points.

Rylee Sevigny led the Falcons with a game-high 15 points.

Lewiston 44, Mt. Ararat 26

LEWISTON — Victoria Harris had nine points to lead Lewiston to a 44-26 victory over Mt. Ararat in a KVAC girls’ basketball contest Saturday.

Kyla Greenleaf and Lauren Sturgess each had eight points for Eagles (3-11).

Hebron 41, Pine Tree 26

FREEPORT — Senior guard Maddy New scored a team-high 11 points as Hebron stepped it up in the second half for a 41-26 triumph in girls’ basketball action Saturday evening.

The Lumberjacks (7-3) went on a 26-9 tear in the second half to reverse their fortunes from a 17-15 halftime deficit. Junior guard Franceska Halloran contributed 10 points for Hebron, and Eliza Quinones and Allyson Walsh each hauled down 11 rebounds.

Emily Schlisner produced a team-leading 11 points for the Breakers (3-9).

Edward Little 62, Thornton 47

AUBURN — The Edward Little boys’ basketball team took control early and earned a much-needed 62-47 win over Thornton Academy on Saturday.

The Red Eddies (10-4) led 20-10 after one quarter and 34-22 at halftime.

Darby Shea paced EL with 19 points, and Wol Maiwen contributed 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Andre Hart topped the Golden Trojans (8-7) with 10 points, and Jack Pyzynski finished with nine.

Boys’ hockey

Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse 11, Lawrence/Skowhegan/MCI 1

WATERVILLE — Nick Austin scored three goals and added an assist as Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse scorched Lawrence/Skowhegan/MCI 11-1 in boys’ ice hockey action Saturday.

Jacob Sargent contributed two goals and three assists, while Noah Austin had a goal and four assists for the Eagles.

Avery Gosselin scored the lone goal for the Bandits.

Goalie Bryson Dostie made 37 saves for the Bandits, while Eagles goalie Cade Charron was perfect in net with 17 saves before backup Josh Demers finished off the win.

Marshwood/Traip/Sanford 9, Maranacook/Winthrop/Madison 1

KENTS HILL — Four different players scored two goals each as Marshwood/Traip/Sanford skated to a 9-1 victory over Maranacook/Winthrop/Madison in boys’ ice hockey action Saturday.

Darren Cagnina netted two of the Knighthawk’s three first-period goals.

Eli Bulba converted a relay from Luke St. Hilaire for the lone Hawks goal, which came in the first period. 

St. Dom’s 2, Yarmouth 0

AUBURN — Sophomore center Will Fletcher provided a goal and an assist as St. Dom’s dispatched Yarmouth 2-0 in boys’ ice hockey action Saturday.

The Saints (5-5-1) scored in the first and third periods. Sophomore forward Jacob Lewis notched the third-period goal on an assist from Fletcher.

Goalie Dan Latham made 28 saves for the Clippers (5-4), while Gaston Fuksa stopped all 27 shots for the shutout for St. Dom’s.

Edward Little 2, Scarborough 1

LEWISTON — Eli Thibodeau had a a goal and an assist to pace Edward Little to a 2-1 victory over the Scarborough Red Storm on Saturday.

Cameron Budway gave the Red Storm a 1-0 lead before Thibodeau assisted on Logan Alexander’s power play goal to tie it up.

Thibodeau scored the game-winner with 7:07 remaining in the game.

Gavin Toussaint made nine saves in the victory, while Brandon Wasser stopped 14 shots for Scarborough (2-10).

The Red Eddies move to 8-5.
