FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced the Pets of the Week.

CJ, 13 years, female chihuahua, is a sweet and attention-seeking older girl who is hoping to find a warm lap she can curl up in full-time. She doesn’t mind cats, but is uncomfortable around bigger dogs. Her ideal owner will love to snuggle her close during all of her waking hours. She’s a total people dog.

Kovu, a 3-year-old male cat, is very laid back, a sweet guy, who loves to follow his people around. He loves to talk and cuddle, too.

CJ, Kovu and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
