NORWAY — School Administrative District 17 Superintendent Rick Colpitts will meet with the Board of Selectmen at their meeting Thursday to discuss the district’s method of drafting its budget.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Town Office.
During the board’s Jan. 18 meeting, Selectman Thomas Curtis suggested the board invite Colpitts to a meeting to explain how the school budget is drafted.
“I’d like to get the school board members to come to a budget meeting so we can find out how their budget is presented and how they figure out the numbers,” Curtis said during the meeting. “I think it would be a good idea if we became a little more involved.”
Other items on the agenda include:
• Liquor license public hearing for 290 Maine;
• Appointment of election clerks for a two-year term;
• Approval of a bingo license for Responsible Pet Care of Paris to hold games at the Stone-Smart American Legion Hall on March 25 and Oct. 28;
