BATH — The Chocolate Church Arts Center will welcome Heather Pierson, an award-winning pianist, multi-genre singer/songwriter, arranger, bandleader and performer, on Friday, Feb. 9, as part of the Kill The Chill Concert Series. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Annex, 804 Washington St.

At first glance, Pierson appears to be the girl next door — youthful, friendly, a little bit shy. At the seat of a piano or brandishing an acoustic guitar, however, she transforms into a world-class performer.

From New Orleans-style jazz and blues to rousing Americana and poignant folk narratives, her memorable live performances feature her virtuosity on piano, her bell-tone vocals, and her commanding yet playful stage presence while wielding a tenor banjo, melodica or acoustic guitar. She performs both solo and with her acoustic trio, featuring Davy Sturtevant on strings/cornet and Shawn Nadeau on upright bass.

Tickets are $15 advance/$17 door. Tickets are available by calling the box office at 207-442-8455 or at www.chocolatechurcharts.org.
