BOWDOIN — FHC Inc., a global manufacturer of products for the neuroscience industry, has named Melanie Cooper as director of resources.

Cooper serves as the face of FHC for external stakeholder relations. She is responsible for the supervision of human resources, facilities and the corporate wellness program. She will also oversee the operation of FHC’s community resources, including the Cathance Children’s Center, Fitness Center and housekeeping/hospitality services.

She first joined FHC in 2015 as the human resources manager. She is a 2014 graduate of the Kennebec Leadership Institute and completed the Bell Leadership Institute Achievers Program in 2017.

Prior to joining FHC, she served as the human resources manager at J.S. McCarthy Printers in Augusta and also taught high school English and humanities in Maine and New Hampshire.

She and her husband live in Wales with their daughter.
