LEWISTON — Jean P. Crowley, 68, a resident of Turner, passed away from natural causes following several years of illness, Friday, Feb. 16, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
She was born April 17, 1949, in Rumford, the daughter of Thomas Bartholomew and Glenys “Rae” (Lane) Bartholomew. Jean was a 1968 graduate of Gould Academy. On December 11, 1976, in Jay, she married James B. Crowley. He passed away June 10, 2007. She enjoyed crafting, sewing and traveling with friends, having visited Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Italy and Hawaii, and toured the United States.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Pease “K.P.”, of Greenwood; stepdaughter, Kathleen Davenport, and her husband, Gordon, of Livermore; stepsons James Crowley II and his wife, Marie, of Weld and Steven Crowley and his wife, Sherry, of Inverness, Florida; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers Sam Bartholomew and wife, Mildred, of Colorado and Robert Bartholomew and wife, Brenda, of Newry.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, James Crowley; brother, John Wight; and sister, Priscilla Buck.
