Library sponsoring farmer’s market
AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library Indoor Farmer’s Market will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St.
The festive event will feature live music, a special children’s program, vendors and some surprise barnyard guests. There will be homegrown and homemade foods and treats, plus homestead crafts such as pottery and glass works.
The Farmer’s Market is free and is one way the library thanks community members and community businesses for their support.
Pickwick Club reading ‘Dombey and Son’
AUBURN — The Pickwick Club, Maine’s Charles Dickens and other Victorians reading and discussion group, will meet from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Auburn Library.
The group will discuss the second half of Dickens’ “Dombey and Son.” Moderators will be Lincoln Ladd and Alexis DesRoches.
An organizational meeting will follow from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

AUBURN — A Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Sixth Street Congregational Church.
Tri-Town Penguins to meet
DURHAM — The Tri-Town Penguins Snowmobile Club of Durham, Freeport and Pownal will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Durham Fire Station, 615 Hallowell Road.
The club meets on last Tuesday of each month from September to April. New members are welcome.

Discover Girl Scouts in Readfield
SOUTH PORTLAND — Girl Scouts of Maine (GSME) announces that it will host a Discover Girl Scout event for potential members and volunteers at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Readfield Elementary School, 84 South Road.
The event will bring together girls from kindergarten through third grade and their caregivers, and allow them to discover why Girl Scouting is important to the development of girls, how it relates to the success of young women today, and the important role that adults play.

AUBURN — The United New Auburn Association will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Rolly’s Diner, 87 Mill St.

Sabattus Seniors meeting March 1
SABATTUS — The Sabattus Seniors will meet on Thursday, March 1, at the Maxwell-Gill Hall.
The meal will be Chinese pie with dessert. Reservations are required by calling Pauline at 207-375-4037 by Thursday, Feb. 22.
If school is canceled in Sabattus due to snow, the seniors will also be cancelled for the month. Cancellation will be posted on Channel 8.
