In order to enjoy the privilege of hunting wild game in Maine, one needs to have passed a hunter safety course.
Might one question be why anyone is allowed to purchase a high-powered gun designed explicitly to kill persons without holding a gun safety permit?
Perhaps, if one needed to spend the time and effort necessary to complete a hunter/gun safety course before purchasing a gun, there might, possibly, be a reduction in the heinous massacres of innocent persons that have become all too frequent.
