LEWISTON — Jeanne R. Lessard, 78, of Leeds, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, at CMMC in Lewiston, with her long time friend by her side.
Jeanne was born July 4, 1939 in Lewiston, the daughter of Lionel and Antoinette Lessard. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School and moved to Niagara Falls and later to Fresno, Calif., to spend time with her sister, Pauline. She also spent some time in Colorado.
In 1965 Jeanne returned to Maine and worked at Pioneer Plastics for 23 years. Upon retiring, she and her good friend, Mary, moved to Florida for 10 years and enjoyed many warm weather activities.
Jeanne enjoyed traveling, reading, puzzles, gambling and playing cards with her good friends.
She is survived by Mary Dube and Mary’s daughter, Terri Dube. Survivors also include sister-in-law, Toni Lessard; 15 nieces and nephews; 22 great-nieces and nephews; and 14 great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers, Bill and his former wife, Jan, Roger and Paul and his wife, Monique; and two sisters, Gloria and her husband, Greg, and Pauline and her husband, Larry.
Jeanne loved her family very much and was proud of them. She was a loving and generous person and will be missed by all who knew her.
