LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women has announced its March programming. All morning programs run from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Good Food Bus Feedback: Tuesday, March 6. The center will host St. Mary’s Nutrition Center for guests to provide 2017 feedback on the Good Food Bus, a mobile food market with stops at the center bringing fresh vegetables, fruit and other essential food items to where people live, work and play.

New Cooking Matters!!: Wednesdays, March 7, 14 and 21. Maine Snap-Ed is providing a six-week series of cooking classes that are healthy and affordable. Sign up at CWW or call 207-513-3922.

Peasant Pantry Cafe: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8. The cafe features one-pot sustainable meals from different countries. This month, the dish is Irish stew with homemade soda bread and Colcannon. The meal is open to the public at no charge; donations are welcome.

Women’s Healing Arts Circle: Thursdays, March 1 and 15. Dr. Maryam Mermay will lead a circle intended for women seeking to heal any source of grief through a life-giving and playful connection with the arts.

New Books, New Readers: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10. The center will host a reading class for women who are learning English or need practice to read better.

Chinese Medicine: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21. Lauren Breau, acupuncturist and herbalist, will talk about traditional Chinese medicine and how it differs from western medicine and can be a helpful complement to it.

Wise and Strong Women Speak: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 23. Ann Brown, MD, and Margo Goodman-Sullivan, MD, will have a public conversation about alternative medicine. Refreshments provided.

Paint Easter Eggs: Friday, March 30. Bring some eggs to decorate with fun colors for Easter. The center will provide a limited number of eggs.

Bingo: Tuesday, March 27.

Art Van: Wednesday, March 28.

March Birthday Celebration: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, birthdays will be celebrated.

Clothing Give Away: Thursday, March 29.

A full calendar of events and descriptions of support groups is available at www.wisdomswomen.org. The center’s hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Fridays. All women are welcome; programs are offered free and no appointments are needed. Oatmeal breakfasts are available daily, and the center has a shower.
