FARMINGTON — An Easter sunrise service, sponsored by the Farmington Area Ecumenical Ministry (FAEM), will be held at about 6:22 a.m. Sunday, April 1, as the sun appears over Voter Hill.
Those attending should go a little more than a mile up the hill and meet at the intersection a short way after passing the farm buildings on the right.
The half-hour service will be held regardless of the weather. Those attending should dress warmly.
Following the service, all are invited for coffee served at the home of Fred and Denise Brittain.

NEW PORTLAND — The Western Mountains Baptist Church, Route 27, will hold an Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 1. Meet outside the church at the cross.
A free hot breakfast will be served inside the church after the service. As always, a worship service will be held at 10 a.m.
A Good Friday service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on March 30.

PHILLIPS — The Easter season begins on Palm Sunday, March 25, with a 10:45 a.m. service at the Phillips Community Church, corner of Main and Pleasant streets. Palm fronds will be distributed.
Maundy Thursday service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at the Phillips Community House, 31 Main St. A light meal, symbolic of the Last Supper, will be served followed by the service.
The Easter sunrise service will be observed with the Weld Church on Sunday, April 1. Easter service at the Phillips Community Church will be at 10:45 a.m.

SUMNER — Holy Week services at the Congregational Church of East Sumner will begin on March 25, Palm Sunday. The 9 a.m. service will include a song by the choir and palm branches for all attendees.
