LEWISTON — The Lewiston Farmers’ Market will sponsor its second annual “Spaghetti (Squash!) Dinner” from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 8, at the YWCA, 130 East Ave.

The menu will include a hefty helping of spaghetti and meatballs (including spaghetti squash), creamy butternut squash soup, spring salad with pea shoots, buttery garlic bread and a variety of desserts, including spiced apple crisp, assorted cupcakes and cake. All recipes will be are made using farm fresh and seasonal ingredients.

Other highlights of the night will include live music, a mini-farmers market and a chance to win a Johnny’s Select Seed Starting Kit through the evening’s raffle.

Tickets for the dinner will be $12 at the door and $10 ahead of time with a free raffle ticket. Children younger than six are free. Proceeds from the event will go to support Lewiston Farmers Market programs. The summer Lewiston Farmers Market will open Sunday, May 20, with extended hours from 10 a.m. 1:30 p.m. at the Bates Mill 5 Complex.

The Lewiston Farmers Market (LFM) provides farmers, producers and crafters a year-round venue to sell products directly to consumers.
