AUBURN — Faye S. Bumpus McDonald, 75, of South Paris, passed away Sunday, March 18, at Bolster Heights.
She was born in Porter on June 9, 1942, the daughter of Hebert L. and Sylvia Mills Smith. She attended Porter and Paris schools and had been a homemaker all of her life.
She was married to Richard Bumpus for 32 years. She later married George (Mac) McDonald, in 1995. Together, they ran Mac’s Camping Area on Tripp Lake in Poland. They loved camping and running the campground, as well as wintering in Zephyrhills, Fla., for many years, before his passing in 2014.
She loved decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds, especially hummingbirds, puzzles, word finds, playing cards and she loved tea.
She is survived by her children, Wanda James and husband, Bob, Kimberly Ayotte and husband, Dean, Gary Bumpus and wife, Beth, Candy Meziani and husband, Kader, and Randy Bumpus and wife, Kendra; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, with three on the way; and two brothers, Rodney Smith and Keith Smith.
She was predeceased by her father, when she was very young; her mother; her stepfather, Lawrence C. Douglas; an infant son, Mark; and her brother, Eugene.
