LIVERMORE FALLS — Four of five teenagers involved in drinking alcohol March 21 in the rear vacant section of the Central Plaza building have been charged, Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Tuesday.
Police have not caught up with a fifth teen from Jay who was there, he said.
Emergency responders were called to the building for a report of an unresponsive youth. Two Livermore Falls teenagers, ages 15 and 16, were taken to separate hospitals after becoming ill, Steward said. Both were released from hospitals in Farmington and Portland.
Police discovered that half a gallon of Jack Daniels whiskey was stolen from Rite Aid in Livermore Falls, Steward said.
Police found an empty bottle of whiskey at the scene.
The Livermore Falls boys and two boys from Jay, ages 15 and 17, have each been issued a summons on a misdemeanor charge of criminal trespass, Steward said Tuesday.
Each has also been given a summons on a civil violation of a minor consuming alcohol. The summonses were issued at their residences with parents present.
There are still charges pending for the two Livermore Falls teenagers, Steward said.
Officer Troy Reed is the primary investigator. The cases will be turned over to Juvenile Community Corrections Officer Denise Cross.
