‘Geology of a Volcanic Island’ to be library topic
AUBURN — Doug Rogers will present “Geology of a Volcanic Island” at the Auburn Public Library.
The program, which is open to the public, will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5, in the Androscoggin Room.
Rogers, who will have several specimens on display, spent time on Ascension Island, a tiny dot of green in the tropical mid-Atlantic, a volcanic outpost of empire where it is hot and cold at the same time.
