LEWISTON — Ronald E. St. Cyr, 80, of Lewiston, died Thursday evening, March 29, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with family at his side.

He was born in Lewiston on May 11, 1937, one of six children born to Sarto and Exilia (Dubois) St. Cyr. Ron was educated in Lewiston schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community. Ron worked for many years at CMMC in housekeeping until his retirement in 1996 and was a member of Holy Cross Church. Among his favorite enjoyments were collecting wolves and listening to country music. He was a loving, devoted and hardworking brother and uncle who will be dearly missed. Ron leaves behind two sisters, Anita Breton of Lewiston and Sister Rachel St. Cyr R.S.R, also of Lewiston; two brothers, Raymond St. Cyr and wife, Anita, of Lewiston and Roger St. Cyr of Lewiston; four nieces and nephews Lena Breton of Lewiston, Lisa LaCroix of Missouri, Marcel St. Cyr of Lewiston and John St. Cyr, also of Lewiston and two “grandchildren” Nathan LaCroix and Krista LaCroix.

Ron was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, the Rev. Richard E. St. Cyr and Bert St. Cyr and a sister, Priscille St. Cyr. The family wishes to express a special thank-you to the doctors, nurses and staff on 4th-floor Oncology at St. Mary’s, the 2nd-floor nursing staff at St. Mary’s, the nurses and doctors in the St. Mary’s ICU, especially Holly Keene, R.N., and the staff and physical therapists on 1 East at d’Youville Pavilion.
