AUBURN — Concerts for a Cause will host the 14th Annual Remembering Tom Rowe Concert: A Celebration in Song at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 12, at the First Universalist Church of Auburn. The show benefits the Jack McPhillips Memorial Fund (JMMF).

This year’s concert will include Dave Rowe, Schooner Fare, Denny Breau and a list of guest artists including Larry “Flash” and Tina Allen and T-Acadie.

Tom Rowe was a consummate musician-entertainer, member of Schooner Fare and Turkey Hollow and served as choir director for the First Universalist Church of Auburn from 1992 until his untimely death in 2004. His son, Dave, organized the first Remembering Tom Rowe concert in the greater Lewiston/Auburn area, and the concerts have become an annual event ever since.

Concerts for a Cause brings special concerts to the Lewiston Auburn community while raising money for area charities. JMMF is a unique organization that seeks to aid those who have little chance of finding help through large agencies or whose situation requires immediate assistance. The series is produced by local musician and church choir director Dave Rowe, along with a dedicated group of church members.

The home of CFAC is the First Universalist Church of Auburn, located at 169 Pleasant St. (across from Dairy Joy). Parking is handicapped accessible.

Tickets are $22 in advance at brownpapertickets.com/event/3329921 or $25 at the door (cash or credit). FMI: visit uuconcerts.org or call 207-783-0461.
