PARIS — “Threads,” the 15th annual spring runway show for the Oxford Hills Technical School fashion design students, will be held Friday, May 4, at the school auditorium.

“We had nine snow days this year,” said Lori Millett, fashion design instructor. “The class runs on a tight time schedule and any snow day sets student work back.” Millett, who has been teaching for 10 of the program’s 15 years, has provided after-school time to help students make their deadlines. “The workroom has been busy for the past three or four weeks and not just after school. Students are here during study halls, lunch breaks and any time that they can squeeze in.”

The set theme this year is a retro dress shop. “I think the public will enjoy the soundtrack this year. The students are compiling the soundtrack with music from the ’50s through the ’80s.”

The show is set for 7 p.m.; doors open at 6:30. Tickets are $4; under 12 and over 65 free. FMI: l.millett@msad17.org.
