The Twin City Thunder continue to add to their roster for the 2018-19 United States Premier Hockey League’s Premier League season.

This week, they added two forwards.

Cody Doyon, who helped lead Lewiston High School to two Class A state championships in 2016 and 2017, has signed with the squad. He also won two Tier II USA Hockey midget championships with the Maine Moose.

The second player they added was Bailey Riddle of Falmouth, who spent this past season with Seacoast College Prep, an independent junior team based out of Exeter, New Hampshire.

Doyon also has junior hockey experience, having played for the Cape Cod Islanders of the North American 3 Hockey League, where he had seven goals and 19 assists in 44 contests this season.

“Cody is a great addition to our team,” coach Doug Friedman said in a statement. “His passion for the game and heart and soul attitude will make him a fan favorite right away. He’s the Thunder version of Brad Marchand.”

Riddle, 19, who will be in his last year of junior hockey eligibility, has extensive midget and junior hockey experience as he spent 2014-2016 with the Portland Jr. Pirates U18 midget team. He had an assist in 28 games in 2014-15 while adding two assists in 17 games the following season. In 2016-17, he appeared in three games with the Lehigh Valley Jr. Phantoms of the Eastern Hockey League’s Elite League, a tier III USA Hockey junior league.

“Bailey is a great team guy with a tremendous attitude. ” Friedman said “We will look to him to provide solid leadership both on and off the ice. He has a lot of experience and a good hockey IQ that will give us the ability to use him in any situation.”
