WINTHROP — Maguire Anuszewski and Cam Wood combined to keep Telstar quiet in a Class C South baseball doubleheader Tuesday. Anuszewski shut out the Rebels 1-0 in game one, then Wood scattered two runs on three hits in Winthrop’s 10-2 win in game two.

Both games were scheduled for five innings.

The Ramblers (6-4) scored their lone run in the bottom of the first inning in the first game, then Anuszewski made that lead stick on the mound, allowing just four hits — two Joseph Dillon singles and a double and single from Tyler Hill.

David Cole-Mason gave up just three hits for the Rebels (1-5) in the game one loss. Ryan Baird had a double and single for Winthrop.

The Ramblers were the away team in the second game, but made themselves right at home at the plate, busting out 13 hits.  Wood had a pair of singles, Carson Camick had a triple and a single, and Anuszewski and Morgan Bellemare both doubled.

Hill pitched the second game for Telstar.

RANGELEY — Matt Rines homered and Richmond took advantage of seven Rangeley errors to beat the Lakers, 14-3, in a Class D South baseball game Tuesday.

The Bobcats (7-0) only had three hits — Damian Little doubled — but they used the Lakers’ (6-3) miscues to score nine runs in the third, four more in the fourth and one in the fifth to end the game after five innings.

Zach Small allowed just one hit — a Bo Beaulieu triple.

Beaulieu started the game for the Lakers, then gave way to Cal Crosby in the fourth. Crosby started the game behind the plate.
