OTISFIELD — Administrative Assistant Anne Pastore advised selectmen Wednesday night that a Yarmouth company will begin installing security cameras at the transfer station May 31.
A representative of Cunningham Security Systems told Pastore it would need a lift to install the cameras.
Board Chairman Hal Ferguson said the board agreed to rent a lift to save money.
Pastore said the closest place she could find one was True Value hardware store in Bridgton for $195 for 24 hours, or four times that amount for a week.
Selectman Rick Micklon said the town would only need a lift for two days.
Ferguson said he would check a store in Windham that may charge less.
The cameras will monitor the station for possible violators of town rules.
