LEWISTON — Carmen T. Poulin Boucher, 84, of Lewiston passed away May 20, at home with family by her side.

Carmen had a positive outlook and brought joy to all who knew her with a selfless attitude, greeting each day with: “What a wonderful day!” She had an unstoppable energy throughout her entire life. Carmen had a quick wit, loved joking and laughing with her friends, family, neighbors and her Beacon caregivers. She enjoyed being outside in the sun, scratch-off tickets, playing cards, gardening, spending time with pets and loved to bake and sew.

Carmen was born in Lewiston on June 10, 1933. She was the third youngest of 18 children born to Charles and Marie Anne Poulin.

Carmen will be greatly missed by her children Joanne Felice Boucher, Tim Boucher and partner, Karen Moore, Don and Sheila Boucher, Marcel and Kristal Boucher; and she was predeceased by her son, Tom Boucher.

She also had the delight of 10 grandchildren: Sydney, Todd, Brett, Andrea, Alec, Danielle, Sarah, Heather, Matthew Ryan and Brianna; and six great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind sisters Norma and Rose; and brothers Norman and Joe (Clement).

Special thanks to her wonderful Beacon caregivers who extended their friendship, affection and devoted attention in her later years. Also, special thanks to Felix Boucher, the father of her children, for looking after her all these years. Her beautiful smile and joyful spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
