TUESDAY, May 29
LEWISTON — Informational session on ranked-choice voting, 4 p.m. at the Lewiston Public Library’s Callahan Hall. Join Maine Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap for a session on the voting method that will be used in the June 12 primary election. No registration is required.
Secretary Dunlap will provide information on what voters can expect to see at the polls and how the ranked-choice tabulation will be conducted, and answer voters’ questions. He will also remind voters of the related People’s Veto referendum question, which will be presented on a separate ballot on June 12.
AUBURN — City Council budget workshop, 5:30 p.m. in the council chamber at Auburn Hall. The final budget review will focus on Recreation, the Norway Savings Bank Arena, and the Capital Improvement Plan. The council’s first reading on next year’s budget is June 4.
LEWISTON — City Council special meeting and workshop, 6 p.m., Council Chamber at City Hall. The council will hold a public hearing on the school regional administration proposal, required by state law prior to the vote at the primary election.
WEDNESDAY, May 30
AUBURN — Auburn Housing Authority board of commissioners, 7:30 a.m. at Family Development, 109 Valerie Circle.
