Marc Lapointe, right, a Haas CNC sales associate, presents a check for $50,000 from the Gene Haas Foundation to Michelle Hawley, acting director of the Office of Workforce and Professional Development, and Richard Bolding, chairman of the Precision Machining Technology program at Central Maine Community College in Auburn. The donation will provide scholarships to educators in the precision manufacturing field. The educators will participate in programs at CMCC this summer in 4-Axis CNC Milling, 5-Axis CNC Milling, and CNC Turning: NIMS Level 1.
