WATERVILLE — Christine Chasse and Grace Dumond netted five goals each as Lewiston cruised to a 15-4 victory over Winslow in the KVAC girls’ lacrosse championship game Saturday.

The Blue Devils led 7-3 at the half. Rachel Ouellette contributed three goals, and Camree St. Hilaire added a pair. Erin Lachance assisted on five of Lewiston’s 15 goals.

Goalie Carrei Selwood made 19 saves for the Raiders, while Cece Racine prevented 12 for Lewiston.

Silver Clukey scored three of the Raiders’ four goals in the losing effort.

Oxford Hills 5, Bangor 0

BANGOR — Jonny Pruett had three hits and two RBIs as Oxford Hills beat Bangor 5-0 to capture the KVAC championship Saturday.

Ashton Kennison had a double and a RBI, while Janek Luksza had a pair of hits and drove in a run and Emery Chickering had a pair of hits in the victory. In all, Oxford Hills had 13 hits.

The Vikings picked up their first run in the top of the second, then added three more in the sixth and another in the seventh.

Carson Droughty struck out six Vikings for Bangor in the losing effort.

No. 2 seed Oxford Hills opens the playoffs by hosting a Class A North quarterfinal contest against No. 7 Skowhegan. Bangor, the top seed, hosts Messalonskee.
