DEAR SUN SPOTS: L/A Arts is in need of several volunteers in preparation for a busy summer season of events and exhibitions. The organization is an all-volunteer, community-based organization that relies on the community. Opportunities available include gallery attendants to greet visitors, assist with receptions and answer the telephone. Attendants play a critical role in keeping the gallery open and accessible to the public and the role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people.
The gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday. Art Walk Guides provide support during the Final Friday Art Walks from May through October, directing visitors to art venues in downtown Lewiston and Auburn, handing out flyers, taking photos and supporting the needs of artists along the route. Anyone interested in volunteering may contact L/A Arts at laartsgallery@gmail.com or 207-782-7228. —No name, no town
