LIVERMORE FALLS — Residents will head to the polls Tuesday, June 12, to elect town officials and vote on budget articles that total $2.5 million.
The budget is more than $130,000 over last year. Voting takes place at the Town Office from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Running for a three-year term on the Board of Selectmen are incumbent Nixon Ortiz and challenger Ron Chadwick. Incumbent Tom Barker and challenger Sarah Flagg are running for a two-year term on the select board.
Ann Schwab is running unopposed for a three-year term on the Regional School Unit 73 board of directors.
Among the budget amounts are:
• $565,472 for Police Department;
• $477,949 for public works;
• $298,237 for contractual;
• $283,291 for administration;
• $129,363 for debt service;
• $122,559 for municipal solid waste;
• $120,000 for paving;
• $113,467 for Fire Department;
• $81,221 for buildings;
• $75,506 for the library;
• $66,712 for insurance;
• $42,960 for capital improvements;
• $39,153 for elected officials;
• $30,218 for recreation;
• $25,000 for contingency;
• $16,600 for code enforcement;
• $8,960 for General Assistance;
• $5,625 for grounds care;
• $5,000 for agency requests; and
• $1,292 for the health officer.
