GREENE — School Administrative District 52 directors voted Thursday night to keep Betsy Bullard as chairwoman.
They also heard from Superintendent Kimberly Brandt, who shared some of the great happenings at Turner Elementary School, including new school-wide Responsive Classroom morning meetings.
“I was able to join several morning meetings this year and I saw students connecting with their teachers and peers through discussions, sharing events in their lives, getting excited about their work for the day and being able to begin their day feeling a true sense of belonging and calm — the perfect setup for good learning,” she said.
She said monthly assemblies were held to celebrate student success and more than 600 positive postcards sent home “recognizing the good things and the growth our students are making.”
During the meeting, Tripp Middle School Principal Gail Marine noted that her students had collectively read 5,838 books to date.
