FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced its Pets of the Week.
Dog of the Week is Toby, a 1-year-old male Staffy mix. He is a super sweet dog who loves cuddles and people. Toby is not quite sure how he feels about other dogs, but no cats, please! He has a laid-back temperament, so he’d be a great fit for most anyone.
Cat of the Week Junior is a 4- to 6-year-old male who has lived at the shelter since February, probably because he is a bit shy. Junior likes to stay on the very top shelf of the cat room where he can watch all the activity in peace. He is a sweet cat who is looking for a quiet home.
Toby, Junior and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at 550 Industry Road.
Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also finds homes for barn cats, livestock and other pets.
