WILTON — A Rumford woman received minor injuries Tuesday when the car she was driving struck a pickup truck on Route 2 East, police officer Kevin Lemay said.
Kera Radcliff, 32, was taken by a NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, Lemay said.
She was behind a truck driven by Don Hamann, 60, of Mexico, who stopped his 2005 Ford F250 pickup to turn right into the CDL Maine superstore, a maple syrup equipment business. Radcliff didn’t see it in time and hit it as Hamann accelerated to avoid a collision, Lemay said. The truck struck a guardrail and hit a maple syrup processing tank, he said.
The 2008 Ford Fusion driven by Radcliff is owned by her grandfather, Charles Mckenna of Rumford, Lemay said.
Wilton Fire Rescue Department assisted at the scene.
