LEWISTON — Joanne (St. Pierre) Costin, 73, of Auburn died unexpectedly Sunday, July 22, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 9, 1944, a daughter of Henry and Rose (Petitgrew) St. Pierre. She attended local schools, graduating from St. Dominic High School. Joanne worked at General Electric in Auburn for 35 years, until retiring.
She enjoyed traveling, shopping, weekly bingo at Sacred Heart and spending time with her sisters Rolande, Lorrain and Pauline; her brother, Don; and best friend, Diane Daigle. Everyone who knew Joanne will miss her kind heart, generosity and her infectious laugh.
She is survived by her sons Kevin Costin of Steep Falls and Brian Costin of Biddeford; granddaughter, Crystal Costin; great-granddaughters Ciara Merrifield and Callie Tripp; siblings Rolande (Ayotte) Phillipon of Lewiston, Don St. Pierre of Sabattus, Lorraine Tremblay of Leeds and Pauline St. Pierre of Mobile, Ala.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother, George St. Pierre; and sister, Bea (St. Pierre) Boucher.
