PARIS — Paris Public Library’s Novel Idea Book Club will discuss “Refugee” by Alan Glatz at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21.

The book tracks three families’ necessary flights from their treacherous motherlands — Cuba, Germany and Syria. Each account describes the journey, events during the escape and the consequences met upon arriving at destinations.

New members are always welcome. The book club includes adults reading books written for  youth.
