AUBURN — Lauretta C. Rainville, 95, formerly of Lewiston, died Thursday, Aug. 2, at the Clover Manor in Auburn, where she had been a resident for the past six months. Born in Lewiston on Feb. 2, 1923, she was the daughter of Alfred and Alfreda Dulac Bussiere.

Educated in local schools, she married the love of her live, George J. Rainville, on July 3, 1946. George passed away Oct. 31, 2010. She worked in electrical manufacturing for several years, including working at Arrowhart. While she enjoyed working outside the home, her greatest satisfaction in life came from caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A devout Catholic, she was a member of Holy Cross Church, Prince of Peace Parish, and was a former member of the Ladies of St. Ann and Holy Cross Senior Citizens.

Survivors include her two sons, Robert and wife Karen, and Roger and wife Suzanne, all of Lewiston, a brother, Bertrand Bussiere of St. Johnsbury, VT, four grandchildren, Cynthia and husband James Gahagan, John Rainville, Amy Rainville, and Joseph Rainville, five great-grandchildren, Taylor and Ella Gahagan, and Chloe, David, and Noah Tremblay, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four brothers; Rosario, Ovila, Gerald, and Robert Bussiere, and two sisters, Lucienne Mitchell and Catherine Lupardo.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Clover Manor and Beacon Hospice for all the love, care and attention they gave her during her final months.
