DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m looking for someone who could give me information about roadside places where I could rent a table or two in order to display many items for sale. Please call me at 207-225-3001. The phone number was incorrect in the Aug. 8 Sun Spots. Thanks!

—James, Turner

ANSWER: This is a good opportunity to remind all my wonderful readers that sometimes I do make mistakes! And sometimes handwritten notes are difficult to decipher. If you are handwriting your question, it’s helpful if you print your message. If you are writing an email, please double-check your information before hitting the send button. Thank you in advance for making Mrs. Sun Spots’ life easier! I really appreciate it!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: We live on Taylor Pond in Auburn. A couple of days ago we noticed a blue kayak in front of our house. If you think it may be yours, please call me at 207-740-4882.

—Dee, Auburn

ANSWER: Dee, you are so smart to write to Sun Spots about this. This column has reconnected so many readers with their lost belongings! (The web photo is just a representative image — not the actual kayak.) Let us know what happens!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have written to you before and had great results. I’m hoping you can help me once again.

I am looking for a tire rim for my 2005 Hyundai Accent automobile. The size is M+S 175-70-R13. I have tried several places, but have had no luck and can’t afford to pay an outrageous price for one. I would like the rim to be in fairly good condition and it can be a second-hand one. Thank you for your help.

ANSWER: This reader did not want her name and contact information published so please write to Sun Spots if any of you wonderful fans have ideas on where she can get a reasonably priced tire rim. I would also suggest that trying all the area junkyards and even though the reader may not want to pay top dollar for one, I also suggest contacting local tire and car repair places. They may have ideas. Craig’s List and Uncle Henry’s are also good bets.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Great Falls Model Railroad Club has three new napkin dispensers that we are willing to donate to any nonprofit. These are “Tork Xpressnap Dispensers.” The first one to call gets them! Contact me at 207-576-3788.
