AUBURN — Richard O. Devost, 67, of Lewiston died Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Healthcare & Hospice in Auburn.

Born in Lewiston on May 12, 1951, he was the son of Ovide and Clarice Croteau Devost. Educated at local schools, he worked as an inspector at Philips Elmet for many years. Richard was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, and loved spending time with family and friends. He had a lifelong love of animals, especially cats. Richard enjoyed playing bingo, often driving down to games in New Hampshire, and also enjoyed taking his chances on scratch lottery tickets.

Survivors include his wife, the former Deborah Murphy, of Lewiston; two sons: Matthew and Rodney, both of Richmond; a stepson, Eric Devoe, of Fairfield; and three stepdaughters: Christina and husband, Danny Lucas, of Jacksonville, Fla.; Martha of Portland; and Amber and husband, Spencer Cooper, of Lewiston; a grandson, Taylor Devost; and many nieces and nephews.
