What to expect: The Red Eddies are dedicated and enthusiastic for this upcoming season. Their defense remains strong with the partnership of Jaylyn Metivier and goalie Elise Syphers. The talented midfielders are quick and skilled at their positions. With Kiara Fournier leading the front line the ball will surely head in the right direction.
Dirigo Cougars

What to expect: They have really low numbers this year, and right now have four injured players. Curtis is hoping to get everyone healthy enough to play for when the regular season begins. She said they have a great group of girls, so whatever their record is going to be she said they are going to have a great season.

What to expect: The Patriots are looking toward a season of growth. With a key returning core and an onslaught of new talent, the team looks forward to trying new strategies across the field. Throughout preseason the team has shown dedication to one another and team success and will continue to work together to improve throughout the season.
Hebron Academy Lumberjacks

What to expect: With a core group of returning players, the team should be competitive early. They look to regain the MAISAD title and try to earn a spot in the competitive NEPSAC Class C tournament.

What to expect: Leavitt will be much younger this year after graduating 12 seniors. With very little varsity experience returning, the first part of the season may be a learning and growing experience. The young players are talented but need to adjust to the quickness and speed at the varsity level. By the end of the season they expect to be in the thick of things for playoffs.

What to expect: They have a full squad, new field, and a great attitude. They graduated a lot of talent from last season, so they will have a young team that will need to grow to fill those shoes now. Fournier said they have a new philosophy and work ethic. They look forward to showing the KVAC what they have to offer.

What to expect: The Greyhounds will look to develop throughout the season as they blend the upperclassmen with the newcomers. They will look to continue to improve each game and gain experience and confidence to battle in the playoffs. Key players at various positions will keep the Greyhounds competitive day in and day out.

What to expect: They expect to have a competitive season. The key to the season is to win the tight games. Last year they fell a couple times in close games. The goal for the Falcons is for another playoff run in 2018.
Oak Hill Raiders

What to expect: Returning a strong core of a team that is competitive and driven. This year’s emphasis for Gilbert is focusing on the little things — being consistent, growing as a team unit, and working smarter on the field to increase each player’s overall knowledge of the game. Beginning the season they will focus on finding combinations that work well together and building confidence in the younger players. They hope to grow each game and play their best in October.
Oxford Hills Vikings

What to expect: With their speed, teamwork and competive attitude, Goddard expects this team to give every other team in the conference a battle. At the end of the season, the hope is for the team to be in the top half of the standings and host a home playoff game.
Poland Knights

What to expect: They have many upperclassmen returning this season. Although they have big holes to fill, the underclassmen and returning junior varsity players have stepped up to the plate. A fair number of returning players are also stepping up to the plate by playing a position that is new to them. They have a hard-working group that is driven toward the same goal.
Spruce Mountain Phoenix

Emily Castonguay returns to this year’s team with the honor of being last year’s Most Valuable Offensive player and Julie Doiron for being last year’s Most Valuable Defensive player. This year’s team looks to be fast, with depth at every position. Numbers are good and enthusiasm high.
St. Dominic Academy Saints

What to expect: The team this season is young, with some brand-new players, but they have a solid backbone of upperclassmen who Brown said are all great leaders. they are striving to defend their title and build as a group as the season progresses.
Telstar Rebels

What to expect: They were young last season and will again have some freshmen playing varsity. Wight has nine freshmen that will be vying for varsity time. They are looking for that big first win, along with more scoring opportunities this season. Newcomers are very aggressive and are pushing last year’s members to work harder.
Winthrop Ramblers

What to expect: They return 10 starters from last year’s team, so their expectations are high this fall. They bring back a lot of senior experience and leadership. Moriah Hajduk, Katie Perkins, and Kerrigan Anusewski will again anchor the midfield and look to create many opportunities offensively. They expect to be a strong team in the MVC and finish high in Class C North.
