LEWISTON — William (Bill) J. DuBois, 75, of Poland went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 31.
Bill was born on July 30, 1943, in Plainville, Conn., to Albert DuBois and Germaine Fontaine.
Bill is a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1961. He earned his Associate of Business degree while serving in the United States Army. Following his service in the Army, Bill served in the Maine Air National Guard, 243rd EIS Squadron, serving as the first sergeant rising to senior master sergeant.
Over the years, Bill worked at Pioneer Plastics and Tambrands.
Bill married Judy Whalen on June 30, 1978, and celebrated 40 years of marriage this past June. Bill loved golfing with Judy, bowling, playing cribbage, reading the Bible and witnessing, and he continued to receive the actual newspaper because he enjoyed doing Sudoku and crossword puzzles. Above all, Bill loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, and two brothers, Ray and Bob.
Bill is survived by wife, Judy; two brothers, Richard (Dick) DuBois and wife, Elaine, and Paul DuBois and wife, Pauline; daughters, Michele Bouchard and husband, Rick, and Nancy Lynch and husband, Ken; son Robert Field and wife, Stacie; grandsons Brian, Kenny and Caleb Lynch, and Cameron Bouchard; granddaughters Danielle and Mary Everett, Amber Lynch and Keona Bouchard; and cat Maggie.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. at the South Paris Baptist Church, 1 Park St., South Paris. Family and friends may call at Oxford Hills Funeral Services, 1037 Main St., Oxford, on Thursday, Sept. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to South Paris Baptist Church Youth Group, or Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills.
