PORTLAND — Jennifer Lynn Haley, born Jan. 11, 1989, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2. Jennifer was curious and creative with a contagious high energy. She knew how to play with free abandon. She was eager to know how things and how people ticked. She loved nature, the night sky, animals and children. She was curious about the spiritual realm and never underestimated the power of love. Jennifer looked for the silver lining during the most challenging of times.
She earned her bachelor’s of science in nursing and worked as an RN. Jennifer also enjoyed farm work, restaurant work and some sales-womanship.
Jennifer is survived by her mother, Karen Choquet, and partner, Mark Geren; her grandmother, Herta Choquet; her father, Timothy Haley; and grandmother, Sally Haley; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and a group of people Jennifer referred to as “Her Peeps,” to include many friends, mentors and teachers, all of whom touched her young life. She loved her peeps.
Details of a memorial service will be announced soon.
In memory of Jennifer, please consider a donation, in lieu of flowers, to the sober living house: The Oxford House Washburn II, 192 Deering Ave., Portland, ME 04102-2805.
