‘Eating You Alive’ documentary
LEWISTON — Movie night at The Ark and Olive Branch Cafe will feature “Eating You Alive,” a documentary revealing the truth behind why Americans are so sick and what they can do about it.
It will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 791 Lisbon St.

Historian Steve Rogers to discuss treaty
NEW GLOUCESTER — Historian Steve Rogers will give a talk titled “Border Blunders: New England and the Webster-Ashburton Treaty of 1842” to the New Gloucester Historical Society.
The talk will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the New Gloucester Meetinghouse, 389 Intervale Road, Route 231.
The event will be free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

NFB annual convention Sept. 22
AUBURN — The National Federation of the Blind of Maine will have the annual convention Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Village Inn, 165 High St.
Registration will be from 7:30 to 8 a.m., and the convention will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost will be $25 and $5 for dues; participants will be responsible for lunch.
In addition to the many speakers, there will be voting for election of officers and constitution resolutions.
