LEWISTON — Flora Katherine Drouin (Rideout), 70, passed away unexpectedly at Central Maine Medical Center on Monday, Sept. 10, in Lewiston.
She was born in Gardiner on Jan. 28, 1948. She was married to the love of her life, Robert J. Drouin Sr., for 53 years.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was the matriarch of the family, the rock that held us together. She had love and admiration for all. She had a love of camping, cookouts, family reunions and basically any excuse to get her family together.
Flora is survived by her five children: son Robert Drouin Jr. and his partner, Candance; son Randy Drouin and wife, Suzanne; daughter Ernestine Pratt and her husband, Jeff; daughter Germaine Drouin; son Chad Drouin; and adopted son, Phil Rogers; eight grandchildren: Brian, Joshua, Cassandra, Jeffrey, Carrisa, Matthew, Noah and Paul; seven great-grandchilren: Bayleigh, Paul, Peirce, Orrin, Selena, Daniel and Aubrey-Ella; three sisters: Shirley, Katherine and Edna; three brothers: Chester, Danny and Teddy; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Flora is predeceased by her husband, Robert; sisters Beverly and Roxanne; parents Chester and Edna; and son, Jamie.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Wilson Funeral Home, 24 Shaker Road, Gray. A funeral will immediately follow visitation. Committal will be in Upper Gloucester Cemetery. Pastor Vail will officiate.
