VFW Post to meet in Lewiston
LEWISTON — VFW Post 9150 will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Lewiston Armory.

Paulette Lee Benefit Car Show
LEWISTON — A car show will benefit Sabattus resident Paulette Lee, who is recovering from colon cancer.
It will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at 1079 Sabattus St.
It will feature music, food and 50/50 raffle. Proceeds will assist Lee with medical expenses.

New Lewiston, Auburn CNA class starts Oct. 1
AUBURN — Those interested in starting a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant can take classes next month with Lewiston Adult Education and Auburn Adult and Community Education.
The classes will be held in Auburn and cost $275 per student. It is being done in partnership with the Marshwood Center of Lewiston.
The program begins Oct. 1. Classes will be held at Edward Little High School in Auburn on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. CNA students will complete 180 hours of classroom instruction and labs in addition to 70 hours of clinical work. After completing the training, students will need to pass the state exam to be eligible for Maine certification.

Home kits to be dispersed
LEWISTON — Rebuilding Together Lewiston Auburn, in collaboration with Charter Communications (Spectrum) will be distributing free Safe and Healthy Home kits to local homeowners from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Farwell Elementary School.
