LEWISTON — Firefighters were able to keep a Friday morning fire contained to a fourth-floor apartment at 184 Bartlett St.
No one was hurt in the 8 a.m. blaze that left the upper portion of the apartment house charred.
The four-story building is at the corner of Bartlett and Birch streets. Police blocked off sections of both streets to traffic as crews battled the blaze.
Fire Inspector Ryan Coleman was investigating the cause of the fire later Friday. Tenants were able to return to their homes shortly after the flames were subdued.
