AUBURN — In recognition of the International Year of the Bird, author Melissa Kim and Audubon educator Molly Woodring will have an author visit from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St.
Kim is the author of “A Snowy Owl Story,” the first title in the “Wildlife on the Move Series,” named one of the best bird books by the National Audubon Society. Woodring will bring owl mounts of Maine owls from the Maine Audubon Society. Children will have the opportunity to examine the owl mounts and talons. They will also be able to listen to owl calls. Kim will read her book and afterward she will show children how to draw owl shapes. Kim will be selling copies of her books.
