Salvation Army holding Christmas assistance sign-ups
LEWISTON — The Salvation Army is holding Christmas assistance sign-ups from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and Nov. 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Make-up day is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 23 at 67 Park St..
Attendees should bring ID, Mainecare cards or birth certificates for everyone on the household, proof of all income (DHHS review letters work well for this purpose), and proof of all expenses, (CMP, phone, Unitil, internet, etc.).
The cut-off age for toy assistance is 12 years old. Non-English speaking attendees should bring an interpreter with them.
