LEWISTON — Patrick Dempsey, the actor, producer and race car driver whose namesake Dempsey Challenge is less than three days away, will appear on ABC’s “GMA Day” Wednesday.
Dempsey is expected to talk about the two-day fundraising and the Dempsey Centers in Lewiston and South Portland, which are bolstered by the Challenge and provide free nonmedical services, programs, education and support to those affected by cancer.

“Good Morning America” in southern and central Maine can be seen between 1 and 2 p.m. on WMTW channel 8.
The Dempsey Challenge is one of the Twin Cities’ largest public events and is the largest single-event fundraiser.
Dempsey is expected to be at the Challenge in Lewiston from Friday night through Sunday, with public appearances and a bike ride scheduled throughout the weekend.
