The Cougars (6-2-1) outshot the Red Eddies (4-6) by a margin of 9-8 in the game.

Brooke Bolduc made seven saves for Mt. Blue, while Elise Syphers turned back nine to earn the win in net for Edward Little.

Oxford Hills 2, Bangor 1

PARIS — On a penalty corner with time expired, Julia Colby found the net off a cross from Brooke Carson to lift Oxford Hills to a 2-1 victory over Bangor in field hockey action Thursday.

Jessica Bickford put the Vikings on the board first with an assist from Maggie Hartnett. The Rams tied the contest later in the first half on a penalty stroke by Kate Ruhlin.

Goalie Sabrina Smith made 15 saves for the Rams, while goalie Maddy Day made 10 stops to earn the win in net for Oxford Hills.

Leavitt 2, Erskine Academy 0

SOUTH CHINA — Kayla Leclerc scored both of the Hornets’ goals as Leavitt stung Erskine 2-0 in field hockey action Thursday.

The Hornets (4-4) took a 2-0 lead in the opening half and played even throughout the second frame. Colleen Mathieu assisted on Leclerc’s opening goal.

Goalie Lucy Allen made nine saves for the Eagles (3-7), while Mallory Casey prevented six to earn the win in net for Leavitt.

Messalonskee 8, Lewiston 1

LEWISTON — Rylee Poulin and Kaitlyn Smith accrued a pair of hat tricks to lead Messalonskee to an 8-1 victory over Lewiston in field hockey action Thursday.

Autumn Littlefield opened the game with a goal for the Eagles, and finished the contest with a tally as well. Messalonskee led 4-0 at the half.

Erin Lachance spoiled the shutout by converting a goal off an assist from Grace Dumond early in the second half for the Blue Devils.

Lewiston goalies Ashley Cronkhite and Jill Labbe took 22 shots in the first half and 12 in the second, while Rylie Genest made seven saves to earn the win in net for Messalonskee.

Gray-New Gloucester 4, Poland 0

POLAND — Four players scored as Gray-New Gloucester notched a boys’ soccer win over the host Knights (1-7).

Jacob Kackmeister, Drew LaCerda, Keegan Brooks and Logan True scored for the Patriots (4-4-1).

Gray-New Gloucester outshot the Knights 22-13.

Monmouth 7, Lisbon 0

MONMOUTH — Brock Bates made six saves as the Mustangs recorded their seventh shutout of the season in an MVC win in Monmouth.

Gabe Martin and Nate Ashton each scored twice for Monmouth (7-2-0). Hayden Fletcher, Thomas Neal and Connor Davies also connected for goals in the win.

Lisbon dropped to 3-6-0, despite a 17-save performance from Shawn Moore.

Mt. Abram 10, Spruce Mountain 0

NORTH ANSON — Tyson Hill and Kenyon Pillsbury each had a hat trick to pace the Roadrunners to the MVC boys’ soccer win in North Anson.

JB Jordan added two goals for Mt. Abram (8-0-0), while Nate Luce and Cam Walters had one apiece.

Spruce Mountain falls to 1-7-0.

RICHMOND — Gaston Fuksa scored the lone goal to lead the Saints to the win in Richmond.

Matt Gosselin made four saves for St. Dominic (3-4-1), while Kyle Underhill-Tilton also made four saves for Richmond (5-2-1).

Camden Hills 7, Edward Little 0

AUBURN — Kristina Kelly netted three goals to lead Camden Hills to an 7-0 victory over Edward Little in girls’ soccer action Thursday.

The Windjammers (8-0) were powerful on offense, taking a 28-0 shot advantage.

Goalie Kayleigh Leclerc made 21 saves for the Red Eddies (1-6-2), while Izzy Lang and Alex Southworth shared keeper duties for Camden Hills in the winning effort.

Lake Region 4, Poland 2

NAPLES — Neva Leavitt score four goals, including a go-ahead penalty kick, in Lake Region’s 4-2 girls’ soccer win over Poland on Thursday.

The Knights (2-7) tied the game at 2-2 in the second half, but a call gave Lake Region (2-4-2) a penalty kick that Leavitt buried to make it 3-2.

Alli Ferland scored a goal and assisted on Leya Harvey’s goal. Ferland’s score was set up by Sydney Hudson.

Gabrielle Bolduc made 15 saves for Poland. Lake Region goalkeeper Madi Rock stopped eight shots.

Oak Hill 10, Mountain Valley 1

RUMFORD — Emily Dillman and Anna Beach each had two goals to lead Oak Hill to a 10-1 victory in girls’ soccer over Mountain Valley.

Beach also had an assist.

Julia Noel, Abriana Deslauriers, Audrey Bauer, Rachel Duguay, Paige Gonya and Audrey Dillman all each had a goal for the Raiders.

Kylee Pelletier had the lone goal for the the Falcons (1-8), with Kierstyn Lyons picking up the assist.

Temple 2, Buckfield 0

WATERVILLE — Hannah Hubbard scored both goals as the Bereans won the East/West Conference girls’ soccer game against the Bucks at Thomas College on Thursday.

Jaimee Feugill made eight saves to earn the shutout in goal for Temple (7-1-0).

Libby Cyr was called upon to make 14 saves for Buckfield (5-4-1).
