BERLIN, N.H. — Shirley T. Woodford, 78, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, at the St. Vincent de Paul Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Berlin.
She was born in Berlin, N.H., Sept. 14, 1940, the daughter of the late Wallace and Mildred (Champoux) Lapointe. Shirley graduated from St. Patrick’s High School and resided in Revere and Tewksbury, Mass., for 20 years before returning to Berlin in the mid-1970s. She was employed as a home care provider for NH Mental Health for many years.
Members of the family include her son, Clinton Smith, of Tewksbury, Mass.; sisters Carol Villeneuve of Berlin and Sandra Sarno of Saugus, Mass.; a niece, Kristine Roy, of Gorham, N.H.; a cousin, Moe Champoux, of Randolph, N.H.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by siblings Nancy Lapointe, Robert Lapointe, Jackie Gagnon, Donald Lapointe and Maurice Lapointe.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the St. Kieran Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin & Gorham, N.H.
