AUBURN — The city will close certain roads Saturday and Sunday to accommodate runners, walkers and cyclists participating in the weekend Dempsey Challenge.
On Saturday, the Bernard Lown Peace Bridge, Broad Street at South Main Street and Mill Street at Riverside Drive will be closed from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
On Sunday, the Bernard Lown Peace Bridge and Mill Street at Riverside Drive will be closed from 7:30 to 8 a.m. Broad Street at South Main Street will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Police officers will be stationed at intersections along the run/walk and cycling routes Saturday and Sunday. Motorists are asked to use caution.
In Maine, motorists must give pedestrians and cyclists 3 feet of clearance when passing.
